Also known as cica, this botanical ingredient provides soothing and skin-conditioning care for visibly stressed skin.
Madecassoside
A Centella-derived compound included in the formula's soothing and skin-conditioning complex.
Panthenol
A moisturizing and conditioning ingredient that helps maintain skin comfort.
Allantoin
A skin-conditioning ingredient commonly used to help soothe and maintain a comfortable skin feel.
Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer
A crosslinked form of hyaluronic acid that helps provide longer-lasting moisture to the skin.
Polyglutamic Acid
A humectant that helps attract and retain moisture, complementing the serum's active treatment ingredients.
The retailer's directions specify nighttime use.
- After cleansing and toner:
- Apply a moderate amount to the face.
- Gently spread and allow it to absorb.
- Follow with moisturizer.
- Start slowly if you're new to azelaic acid or have sensitive skin.
- Use sunscreen consistently every morning.
For Sensitive Beginners
I would have Fresh Aura customers begin with:
2–3 nights per week → gradually increase according to tolerance.
They don't need to rush into nightly use simply because it's a serum.
I would especially recommend it for:
- Acne-prone skin
- Redness-prone skin
- Post-acne marks
- Uneven-looking skin tone
- Excess oil/sebum
- Combination skin
- Blemishes
- Dullness
- Customers with both breakouts and pigmentation
- Customers looking for azelaic acid in Korean skincare
Someone with highly reactive skin or known fragrance sensitivity should patch test.
I would also avoid introducing it on the same night as several strong actives if the customer is a beginner—for example, a strong exfoliating acid plus retinal plus this serum.
